  As a business traveller who regularly stays at hotels around the Barnsley area, I chose The Fairway Hotel as I'd stayed there a number of times, although what looked to be an ideal stay in an ideal location turned out to be no stay at all and money lost. I had booked the wrong night by accident as I'd booked it one week early, but I thought that a call to the hotel the next morning would enable me to quickly change the booking. Sadly the hotel were unable to make any exceptions, even though it would have been 3 weeks away. Very poor customer service, no flexibility, would not stay again and would not recommend.
